If On U Sound had a family tree, it would cover the rainforest. Taking
in Lee 'Scratch' Perry, The Pop Group, The Slits,
PiL, Prince Far I and some of rap music's finest, it would touch
every form of music to have had a cultural impact over the past thirty years.
And when On U were putting records out in the early eighties, their
covers proclaimed they were recordings for the nineteen nineties - i.e 1983's
Singers & Players LP 'Staggering Heights' has 'Another 1993
On U Sound Production' pasted onto it's sleeve.
Were On U really ten years ahead?
