For the last five years he has acted as selfÐeditor and publisher of the magazine Punchline, an ongoing series of sociopolitical graphic publications. The core of this book comprises the visual assaults he has created for Punchline.
"Stealworks " is a loose collection of work created to date by self described "visual media mechanic, image manipulator and graphic surgeonÓ John Yates. His work, a mixture of bold visuals, minimalist toÐtheÐpoint social commentary, and disturbing realism, involves the manipulation and reinterpretation of a cultureÐoutÐofÐ
controlÕs media imagery.
